What’s scarier/more dangerous that "Darwin’s" drunk on a lawnmower?
Darwin’s drunk with fireworks.
I wish I could take pictures without drawing attention.
Thanks to the gods for RAIN!

I’m only about 20 minutes into watching ‘Happy Gilmore’. Most Adam Sandler movies border on being retarded, but this one is infectiously so. I wonder what my elbow tastes like. Hmmm… damn. It won’t reach. I guess I’ll never know.
My great-grandfather, Ralph, lost his arm in a sawmill accident. I wonder if he took advantage of the unique opportunity and tasted his elbow. Probably not. I wonder if he even regretted it when he died. Again, probably not.
So much to think about.

As there is a lot of litigation going on about people posting things about work they shouldn’t… I don’t have a lot to say. I’ll just say it’s been a long week, I’m beat and ready for the weekend… perhaps spending it in Chicago with some friends.
In other news, I picked a booger and managed, after several attempts, to get it off my finger and stuck to a butt in the ashtray sitting on my desk. Then, about half-way through my next cigarette, I noticed it quite comfortably adhered to the fag, though half-charred.
I’ve never smoked a booger before.
This weekend was eventful. I went back to Shelbyville and finally got a chance to see my new little niece, Ellie for the first time. She’s such a doll.
However, while at my grandmother’s, I heard about my cousin, Michelle, who had a baby boy, Keegan. He’s a cute kid, but is already going through a tough time. He’s already had one open-heart surgery and is struggling. He’s on and off the ventilators and the doctors said he’ll likely have to have a heart transplant before he’s 20, assuming he makes it through the next few surgeries planned. Poor little guy.

But I still think he’s an alien.
I wonder if the Thriller or Beat It jackets or parachute pants will now come back into style. Hmmm…

I’m actually a bit surprised. Knowing most of the good stuff isn’t presented to those of us not directly involved with the trial, I’m still surprised the jury is taking so long with their deliberations. I figured the prosecution’s evidence was either convincing, or it wasn’t. I didn’t imagine they’d have to think about it this long. So who knows what they’ll come up with. Either way, they’ll probably go home and for the rest of their lives wonder if they did the right thing. Jury duty sucks.
In other news…

I’ve been so unproductive. Last weekend, I got a new lawn mower and got some of the high stuff cut. I also got a new kennel for Soren so he can spend more time outside. But it seems I’m in a bit of a funk. That, coupled with the rain, has made me want to do everything except the things I need to. So I haven’t gone over the yard again like I’d planned, and I’m only about 2/3’s finished building the kennel. I did do some laundry the other night, but I’m going to continue wearing dirty underwear and socks for awhile… at least until they start to be noticeably smelly.
And all week I’ve been looking forward to the Miracle Ride this weekend. But it looks like it’s going to rain.
A lot of things suck.
