The Schiavo Compromise

Let it be known the phrase "Schiavo Compromise" (or other like phrases hinting toward what I’m about to describe) originated here and now. Per international copyright laws, $10.00 USD is hereby payable to me for each use of the phrase (or the like) by any media agency, either spoken or written.

After reading/viewing much of the media coverage of the Terri Schiavo case, I’ve determined something expected, yet hidden, has happend. Somewhere, a compromise was reached.

While many feel sympathy for Terri Schiavo, and for her parents and siblings for their suffering, many too understand the difficult decision her husband has made… feels he had to make. Both sides have struggled to do what they, in their hearts, have felt was right. No one, in this controversy, is wrong. Well, almost no one.

The Easter Bunny

First, I renounce my earlier statements regarding the Liberal National Socialist Green party. After reading more on the site and the forums, perhaps the founders of the site have some interesting points-of-view, but the majority of posters to the forums are your typical neo-Nazi skin-head white-supremacist ignorant white-trash whom, I suspect, have no sense of introspection nor identity with anything "good", and have found this forum and the associated hate a place where they feel "included" and "involved".

Ok… so I started today reading their forums. While most of the arguments on the forums are about "killing the Jews" and how Jews rule the media and are destroying the world, occassionally a post pops up with no "superiority" inferred, but simply a desire for racial purity. That got me thinking: just how "pure" is the race these guys think they’re preserving?

Things that make me think

I’ve been recently reminded that I don’t think like most people do. While my friends will likely recall my personal claims to immortality, my ability to control the weather with my mind, my ability to heal my wounds with meditation alone, or even that I am the only ‘real’ thing that exists in the entire universe, I think/hope they all realize I’m just being absurd.

The truth is that I am much less concerned with myself, and much more with our society… and even more-so with human civilization as a whole and our potential (or lack of) for survival in generations to come.

Virtue, Suffering, Easter and the Pope

I’m a bit confused and even a bit perturbed. This article isn’t really meant to come to any conclusions, but moreso to present some questions I’ve had over the past few weeks. As these questions keep popping up in various areas of my life experiences, I’ve put a lot of effort into research to better understand the questions, and start down the path of finding the answers.

What got me going this morning was this article on CNN.com, Pope ‘abandons self to God’s will’. John Paul himself, according to the article, "linked his own suffering to that of Jesus Christ". One archbishop says it’s very obvious that John Paul is "carrying a very heavy cross…".

Just how is the Pope’s illness and impending demise anything like the persecution, torture and eventual death of Jesus?

Making a Will is hard….

After all the press given to the Terri Schiavo case, I feel pressed to formalize not only a Living Will, but also a Last Will and Testament. This is all assuming, of course, that there is anyone around to make such decisions when I’m gone.

The Living Will part was relatively easy. I found the free forms for my state here. Though I feel like I’ve verbally, though informally, communicated my wishes to my friends and family, I absolutely don’t want anyone questioning my intentions and desires if/when the times comes. I suggest everyone do this… if only for the sake of your loved ones. Though I’ve never had to make a decision like this for another, I definitely don’t want my friends and family to be plagued with this decision about me. We owe it to our loved ones to communicate our desires and delegate to one person to make any decisions not covered by our Living Will. It’s not the place of any branch of our State or Federal governments to make these decisions. All decisions you can think of, you should make yourself ahead of time. Then, finally, delegate to one person you think knows you best to make any decisions not covered before, and make sure you’ve let everyone know who you’ve delegated this responsibility to and why.

Warning signs…

I did some research, read several different versions of the story, and read through much of the Libertarian National Socialist Green Party site at www.nazi.org. At LNSG, I was surprised to find they actually have a lot of intelligent, thought-provoking things to say. While I may not agree with a lot of it, theirs is not a White-Supremacist, violent nor hate-inciting movement, despite headlines stating things like A neo-nazi ‘angel of death’ and Teen Wrote of His Admiration for Hitler on Neo-Nazi Internet Forum. That’s just your Zionist-run mass media at it again.

One thing I do agree with is that Jeff Weise, the shooter, is not the problem. The shooting itself is not the problem. These, like the Columbine shooting, are merely symptoms of much larger problems sweeping the U.S. No one should be shocked at this kind of news.

You want to see a warning sign? Posted in June ‘04, check out Jeff Weise’s Yahoo! Profile. What were his parents, teachers, guidance counselors and tribal elders doing?

And this bird, you cannot change…

I read this article at CNN.com and was suddenly reminded of my own personal theme song, "Free Bird" by Lynard Skynyrd.

Q. What do you get when you take a Great White Shark (ie, millions of years of evolution resulting in the perfect aquatic predator) and put it in an aquarium?
