I can’t sleep

It’s 5am on Sunday morning. I’m wide awake. I think I know why. The universal forces of Good and Evil are battling hard… and disturbing my slumber.

Yes, today is Sunday… the "Lord’s Day". It’s also Halloween… the day of Devil Worshipping. This article from CNN explains it all.

Oh, and Daylight Savings Time is over. Can more forces of nature be in opposition on a single day?

The Darwin’s Strike Again

I feel a bit like Gladys from Bewitched, spying on the neighbors. On the other hand, I wish I’d decided to take pictures sooner!

Yes, it’s deer or squirrel or rabbit season… I have no idea. I don’t think the Darwin’s care either, as they seemed to mostly be shooting at the ground. Perhaps it’s mole season… or rock season… or fallen-leaf season.

Regardless, at about 2pm this afternoon, while watching CNN, I began to hear gunshots outside that sounded closer than usual. I peaked out the window. There they were. Two rednecks with a rifle.

The 2nd Debate: My Response

I just finished watching the 2nd Presidential debate on CNN. I watched about 15 minutes of CNN’s post-debate follow-up, but disagree with much of the commentary. I guess I have different ideas.

Bush, while principle-driven, to me seemed very defensive over-all. But, as the incumbant, what would you expect?

Loss

I was in an MSN chatroom when I also happened to see on CNN that our beloved Rodney Dangerfield had passed away.

The mood in the chatroom was basically, "People whom I don’t know and who die… well, their death isn’t important."

Such is the life of those giving their lives for causes around the world to protect you, or even just to entertain you. Such is the attitude of Hoosiers.

"I don’t get no respect." Rodney D. (1921-2004)

Another money-making idea

Forget about any OTC drugs that fool the breathalyzer. Check this out.

I will develope a holographic technology that will show, to those leaving any bar, images of themselves waking up next to really ugly girls.

Or maybe those should be seen as one ENTERS the bar.

Either way, you’ll leave sober.

A long week… 2 in a row

And it’s only Tuesday.

Ahhh… Tuesdays. You know what happens on Tuesdays? My Administrative Assistant comes to work.

My assistant is a part-time temp. She only works Tues and Wed afternoons. She’s 21 and a college student… a Jr. at IU… my alma mater.
