Today I sent a letter to Wolf Blitzer in response to the question, "What does President Bush have to do to win your vote?"
I wonder if he’ll read it on the air.

Some people know what a life-altering, challenging, stressful event this has been for me. Others of you are clueless.
I will pay off my beloved Isuzu Amigo in just a few months. This is the absolute BEST SUV in the universe. It sucks that most don’t recognize it and prefer a wannabe-truck that drives like a car instead. (Isuzu has discontinued the Amigo.)

After spending the past several months looking through my suitcases, I’ve finally resigned myself to the fact that I have lost my Yin-Yang Zippo Lighter.
I last saw it while in Germany. Charity and I went to Europe and it was usable during our weekend in Paris. But when the fluid ran out (and Charity was getting irritated that I was always asking for her lighter), I decided to buy a cheap lighter to get me through the rest of the trip. I put the Zippo in my suitcase for safekeeping.
Well, sometime between that and arriving home, I lost it. It’s entirely possible that security at one of the airports took it. I dunno. I doesn’t piss me off so much as it saddens me. That lighter and I have been through a lot together.
After my last episode at Not-so-great Clips and vowing then to never again get an $11 haircut, I was hesitant today.
I needed to update my wardrobe, so I drove to Bloomington to visit the mall. I found a men’s store and simply told the girls (Corydon and Shawna, both VERY cute and Junior’s at IU) that I needed a sportcoat, 2 pair of trousers 2 shirts, and the rest was in their capable hands. They were awesome. The picked out a coat that works in a formal situation, but also looks good with jeans. The shirts, pants (and a new belt) all work well together.
So, feeling good and on a roll, I went a few doors down to a salon.

Today my friend Michelle and I spent a good portion of lunch (and the rest of the afternoon) discussing weird things we’ve both recently read regarding quantum theory, the nature of light, time and it’s impact on physical reality.
But she said something today about light being "outside of time" that really got me thinking.

See my previous article about Micheal Jackson.
Could it be any more obvious?
PS. Any comments about Jacko’s "beef" will be met with severe, unilateral, non-U.N.-supported, military action. Consider this a pre-emptive strike modelled after those of our beloved President.
As I am/was, if you were ever in doubt about which candidate, political party or political philosophy your views most closely associate with… check out the quizzes at On The Issues.
Just make sure you read the details of the questions so you understand their implications fully before answering.
And, for those who care, in the "Party Affiliation" quiz, to my surprise, I’m 45% affiliated with Democrats on both economic and personal issues, but while only 30% aligned with Republicans on personal issues, I’m 60% aligned with them on economic issues. The overall results is that I’m 45% aligned with both parties.
I guess I’m just a freak.
I’ve managed to confuse myself. I’ve been reading so much this weekend on the respective histories of the Republican and Democratic Parties and their current platforms, Left vs Right, etc, that I’m not sure which most closely represents my views in the larger scheme of things.
Any Poli-Sci majors out there wanna help me understand, feel free to read on and post comments.

I’m not a Bush-fan. Nor am I a Kerry fan. I wonder if the election committee added an option to vote for "None of the above" what kind of turn-out there would be.
I found a good website/forum that you should check out. Operation Truth. It’s a site set up by representatives of our military (both Active Duty and Ntl Guardsmen) trying to present the war in Iraq from the soldier’s perspective. Some of the posts are really thought-provoking.
As I’m also NOT a Michael Moore fan, I’ve syndicated MooreWatch.com. This site is almost as far right as Moore is left. Hopefully you, the educated reader, can take both sources and discover the truth lies somewhere in the middle.
Reading all of this stuff, one of the posts at Operation Truth suggested that the U.S. stop trying to install "Democracy" all over the world. That got me thinking…

My friend Marie sent me this.

In anticipation of the day when George W. Bush is no longer in office, it is perhaps appropriate to give some thought to the prospect of a George W. Bush Presidential Library. The concept may seem oxymoronic to some. After all, how do we go about building a library for a man who appears so proud of his alienation from printed matter? He boasts of not reading newspapers, and there is little to be found in any of his public statements to suggest a familiarity with any book whatsoever. The thought of our current president reading, say, Shakespeare, defies imagining. It is difficult to think of him reading Danielle Steele, or John Grisham, let alone the Bard of Avon.
