Blah

Not a whole lot to say today. I spent Sun-Tues in Detroit.

I took one of my best friends, Charity with me. Though I had to work Monday and most of Tuesday, she had some business to take care of there and had a chance to visit the new Holocaust Museum. Overall, it was a good time for both of us.

In other news, an old friend emailed me about some discrepancies, and thus I’ve updated my About Me page.

Book of Revelations

Last night I watched "Time Machine: Bible Secrets: Apocalypse" on the History Channel. The program explores the Book of Revelations.

When I think of the ‘end times’ I immediately think of "The Seventh Sign" with Demi Moore and "The Late Great Planet Earth" narrated by Orson Wells. Both of these reflect the way I was brought up as an American Baptist. Though some of the language in the Book of Revelations can be considered poetic, most of it should be taken quite literally. I did, which made those films all that more frightening.

This week in review…

Geezus! What a week!

I don’t even know what to say, other than I’m glad it’s a short week and a 3-day weekend just started. Thanks, Geezus!

So… Condy Rice finally testified. I’m watching CNN now and it sounds like she did a good job of not saying much at all, because the analysts are disagreeing about whether what she said was good or bad for the Bush campaign. She’s good.

Explaining why I posted the picture…

I can’t recall exactly how it came up, but a few of us from work went to dinner the other night, and somehow we got on the topic of injuries, wounds and surgery. I hadn’t really thought about it in a long time, because these days when I think of my ‘modifications’, I always think of this.

However, I’ve had worse.

All through high school I wore braces. I had horrible teeth. On top of that, I also suffered a severe open-bite and an underbite. And on top of that, due to an enlarged tongue and "associated tongue thrust", the roof of my mouth was caving in.
