A friend remembered…

Most of you who will read this didn’t get to know Andy Clark. But I did. He was an awesome guiy. He was the long-haired, hippie, surfer-dude (originally from Long Island) that ran the telecom network at the Northridge "Corporate Campus" for Harman for who knows how many years.

Andy had been fighting cancer for the past 4 years or so. I say that in the past tense, because Andy passed away Friday morning, 3/22, at 63 years old.

A pretty good Tuesday…

Yeah, today was pretty good. I got a lot of stuff done this morning, then took Soren to the vet for his first check-up and vaccinations. This new vet I found that’s VERY close to where I live is famous for being the ‘cheapest vet in the state’. And now I know why. It was a ‘first come, first server’ joint. I arrived around 2:30 this afternoon and didn’t get called until almost 5pm!

Proud daddy…

There are some new pics on Soren Photo Gallery.

Also, make sure you check out Neo, and compare his Baby Picture to this picture of Neo at 7 months.

Duh!

After just reading an article about the Georgia Department of Education and controversy regarding teaching evolution in public schools, I found this…

$1 million bill leads to arrest

Yes, it takes place in Georgia, and makes me question evolutionary theory myself. It’s hard to fathom that millions of years of natural selection could result in people this stupid!

Soren

I don’t have any pics to show yet (hint, hint, Charity)… but in the meantime, you can see what I’m working on…

… a page about Soren, my new puppy.

Hours of fun…

Check it out and get your own NOW!

Yes, coming to a toy store near you, it’s the Dishonest Dubya: Lying Action Figure!

"He liest like a bastard, with pretzel-wretching action!"

On Outsourcing

I’m tired of paying taxes to fund our federal government that doesn’t do what we want them to do.

I think I’m ready to outsource the President and other Federal Government positions to India. Maybe they will only do a mediocre job, but at 25% the cost!

On Haiti and Aristide

I don’t know a lot about what’s going on down there. I’ll admit that it’s a small country and whatever happens, its impact is probably neglible on me personally. Well, except for the fact that my little brother, Rick, who serves in the Coast Guard, is currently down there turning away Haitian refugees.

Anyway, I had to point out something I found in an article posted on CNN.com.

In the CNN article, ‘He [Colin Powell] called Aristide "a man who was democratically elected, but he did not democratically govern or govern well," he said. "Now we are there to give the Haitian people another chance.’

Except for the ‘was elected’ part, it almost sounds like Powell is talking about George W. Bush. Dammit. I want another chance too!

A dying breed…

I just read this article on CNN.com.

Study: Very few bloggers on Net

It’s really quite a silly article. I’m surprised it found its way to CNN’s site. However, to maintain my place among the introverted, anti-social, opinionated, out-spoken yet often ignored minority…. I’m posting this entry.

A new dilema

Since moving to the country, now that I have the room, I’m seriously considering getting a white German Shepherd puppy.

What do you think?

Even the vet said that at Berkeley’s age, this is the perfect time to get him a playmate.
