This weekend was the official start of our Active Directory & Exchange 2000 upgrade at work. For the most part, I act as the project manager, making sure all the people are in place, all the details are taken care of, making the last-minute decisions, and keeping employee morale up. However, a few times some issues arose that my experience allowed me to fix myself, and therefore allowed my team to work on the main parts of the implementation. This first piece went unbelievably smoothly, and I finished Monday (with hardly a single issue) with a big head. hehe. Yes, the team is good. But damn… I got mad skillz!

But other stuff happened today too.

Ya just never know

Tomorrow I have a big presentation to give to our company’s new CIO, but have yet to put together my PowerPoint slides. The day was exhausting and by 6:30 I decided I’d go home, take a short nap, then prepare to justify my existence.

Trash Day: Part II

Today I finally broke down and called Rumpke, the trash guys, to find out that trash day is Tuesday. I took out the trash tonight.

In other news, today was Monday. It came. It went. Given that I’m 30 and since I’m a smoker, don’t eat right and am generally lazy, I think I’d be lucky to live to 60. If I were to die exactly 30 years from today (Oct 13, 2033)… well, that means that as of today I have only 10,957 more days in this world. That doesn’t sound like much. Then again, a lot can happen in 10,957 days.

No, this isn’t about puke. Nor is it about Barfolemew (see Spaceballs). This post is about nothing, really. "Barf" is just the first word that popped into my mind when I tried to think of a word that I haven’t used in a long, long time.
